Hey, all! Made an account just to mention this one - there's an archived topic involving Inuyasha - A Feudal Fairy Tale hanging at the start of battles that appears to have been fixed back in 2019.
Here to report that the bug is back as of 2.6.28 menu system. Bug slightly differs in that it occurs just passed the Japanese message cited in the previous thread - instead, battles now will hang with "Round 1" on the screen; player is able to move/jump but no attacks and no ticking timer. Able to recreate on all four EXTDSP modes.

Damn, you are correct. Just checked and this game had regressed in 2.6.28.
Hopefully, it's related to the timing bug which causes Wipeout XL to freeze because Matt said that's already been fixed for the upcoming firmware.

Perhaps four, five times more, perhaps not even that."

Bug confirmed. That's a rather strange bug too. We'll check it out later on.

It's the same as before, which was fixed back in August 2019. It's just that until now, nobody noticed it regressed in 2.6.28. Seems like all those adjustment you've made for Resident Evil 2-3 broke Inuyasha again.
