Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread
Any ETA for new update? It's been quite a while since last one, just hope to hear some good news.

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread
They have sent one to me. Once I have it I can start on adding support for it.
Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread
This is really cool to hear. Thanks Matt! I just preordered a MemCard Pro for later in the year

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread
It's nice but I would like to see a normal SD card support first. Perhaps you should focus on fixing known problems before adding something new. The issue with random hanging on good-for-everything-but-psio kingston cards still exsist.

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread
We're looking at adding an SD Card buffer to assist with giving cards time to transfer data.

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread
It's PS1 that's so picky about timings, not PSIO.
X-station also has weird issues with certain cards in certain games. Multiple issue threads for X-station were closed due to SD card incompatibly.
I believe making all SD cards "work" is a pipe dream, especially since we still have some game issues to resolve in order to start from a legit baseline.

How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, an afternoon that is so deeply a part of your being that you can't even conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four, five times more, perhaps not even that."

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread
Good morning all !
It's been a while since I see the site not giving too much news since the new group on discord was made.
Do we have an approximate date of a possible update for the backup support and management? Have you encountered any difficulties since?
Will there be a symbiosis with the ps1digital to have the registration on the osd of the ps1d , as on other ode?(this writes the name of the game for example on the osd menu.)
Will there be a connection with the memcard pro too!
I'm in need of info ^^

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread
Will the next update be "major"? Like, is it getting a lot of beta testing, and will fix the remaining games? Also, is working on the clipping still a priority? That's kind of a big deal to me. Thanks.

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread
By all accounts the next update is gonna be pretty big and there has been a bunch of beta testing going on. Also, if you look on the Project Task Progress you can see that CDDA clipping is still being worked on.

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread
yes and moreover it has not moved for a while that's why questions come ^^
I wish that there is a dithering option with the PSIO, it is surely an option that is not necessarily requested but it could be used to entertain the games and especially sometimes to enjoy some games in this visual there, and what is more when you play with the ps1digital mod it really makes the games sometimes cleaner I assure you, so I hope that this request will be taken into account, and it should not be as complicated to set up as memory card management, right? ^^

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread
Anything further on the new firmware? I know there's the beta test Discord but I'm not a part of it, and there's been no update on the task progress topic since late March. Just curious since I have a Memcard Pro coming next month.

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread
We've been working on SD card write support and a new USB protocol. We are still working on the latest firmware. It will support the MemCard Pro but we have a few things to do until we release it

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread
Well it will be made to wait for this maj, while trying to be a major maj for the psio!
A connection with the PS1d and the Mem Card Pro!
Can we have an approximate date of this?

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread
I noticed the Project Task Progress doesn't say anything about the HC05 core. It shouldn't be kept in the shadows since we are finding games with loading issues under the current solution (Wipeout XL, Abe's Oddysee NTSC-U, Crisis Beat, etc).Matt wrote: ↑May 30th, 2021, 11:37 amMaybe. We're working hard on it still. It's coming along nicely
