Stuck at sony logo

Post by Elrinth » August 16th, 2020, 8:52 pm

Hi!

I used a 16gb sandisk u1 sdhc. it works flawless in mega sg.
on psio it doesn't seem to work maybe...
if i have sd card attached i am only shown sony logo.
if i remove sd card on startup i can see psio logo.

if i connect psio to computer. it will show files on the sdio, but all the names are jibberish. is this normal?

Is it formatted as FAT32?
Yes, that's normal when you plug PSIO into your PC.

Then we need pictures to look at your installation.

Switched to the ntsc ps1 with switchboard already installed now that I have a proper power cable for american ps1.
Now it boots, it updated, it restarted the ps1.
But then after when starting again it booted PSIO Initializing... then it comes to a screen where it says: PSIO System Loading

Then it just keeps Loading forever...

Hmm. Try unplugging your controller and plugging it back in whilst it's stuck at that loading page. Does that fix it?
Can you also show me a screenshot of the loading page??

I tried unplugging my hand controller and putting it back in while the spinning loading screen is showing. No difference.

having my controller disconnecting all the time from boot, all the way to the loading screen worked however!
it upgraded the fpga. then asked me to power off... then removing controller again and powering up now i can see my game menu.
the pal installation must've been a fail for the switch board :( need to open it up and see where I failed... will be posting screen shots.

with the ntsc ps1 it won't work with the controller inserted at boot... any clue why this is? the controller is a ps1 dual analog controller. also tried a ps2 dual shock controller same problem. it only works if i insert the controller after the error message about not having a controller attached.

That's really weird. I'd need to replicate it on my setup to find why it happens. What is your PlayStation model and what is the BIOS CRC32 (you can find this by going to the 'System Information' window in the 'Options').

If the CD-ROM is 'clicking' then it's installed poorly.

Was the drive clicking before you installed the Switch Board?
