Re: Assorted PSIO BMP ARTWORK for download!!!

Geez, it was the character length. Why would someone create an archive for this, and exceed the length on hundreds on filenames??????

Re: Assorted PSIO BMP ARTWORK for download!!!

They were definitely 80x84, in fact they were part of this compilation. Here's my NTSC-U Cover Pack, it includes 1,396 images in 80x84p BMP format. The files contain the game name and game ID in their names. https://mega.nz/#!hJk2mAJJ!OuJ60M0XHprPfwW35LxYgiwjlKzxbWWO1IQQNnQCbMg I used imagemagick to...

I tried every setting and still couldn't get the music to play in the game. I tried the PAL CU2 file as well, no better. I almost think it's the dumps themselves.

Re: Assorted PSIO BMP ARTWORK for download!!!

Some of these show up, and some do not. For instance Ridge Racer does, Castlevania SOTN does not. Time Crisis displays, Time Crisis II does not.

Re: CU2 Files- NTSC-U Games (Revised w/ links)

Not having a lot of luck with these. I know the CU2 and BIN files need to be the same name, but does the CDDA option in the PSIO menu need to be turned off? For instance, I'm just trying Ridge Racer, and I can't get the music to play at all.

Re: External HD?

One would "assume" that cybdyn is taking this under consideration for the DCIO project. Perhaps if he does, PSIO can be retrofitted....

Yeah I picked up a PS1 yesterday to send the board, but I'll wait until after the payment can go through again.

Re: Finally ordered my PSIO !

My payment was initially refused several times by my CC for suspected fraud, before it finally went through. Now it's been refunded.

Re: Buying a new (used) PSX, recommended version?

But the 5000/7000 series have smaller mainboards, making them easier and cheaper to ship flat rate to Australia.

Re: PSIO Compatable with PS2??

Well as I said, I may just pick up a fat PS2 with network adapter. I can get one from a local classic game store for $30, HDD around the same. I'm fine with IDE. One drawback I find with this new POPS-PS1 emulator on PS2 is that each game has to be loaded as an app/ELF. Means you really can't have v...

Re: PSIO Compatable with PS2??

Well for PS1 games, you can use POPS/POPStarter, the official PS1 emulator that Sony made for the PS2. Compatibility is fairly good and most games run full speed. The emulator itself is similar to POPS for PS3/PSP, except for the worse compatiblity: http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.p...

Problem is he's in Australia, which costs a fortune to ship to.

Re: PSIO Compatable with PS2??

I use OPL in my ps2 to play games installed in HDD (almost 98% combatibility of all ps2 game library). I have a slim ps2 V12 (700xx) in which I installed (soldered) maxdiypower's SATA mod. This is the best way to go - hands down!!! I use OPL on a Slim, games reside on my PC, played/streamed if you ...

Rats! Hopefully you can find a partner in the USA who would be willing to mod several systems at once.

Yes, I'm afraid so. It's just the way Sony designed the PSX. We can't get around it.
Was this known from the outset?

Re: Mega CD

My reference to the "other Dreamcast guy" was the same as the link you posted. I didn't think it's appropriate to post links to competing hardware on PSIO's site. I wouldn't hold out for Sarooo, still very little is known about it truthfully.

Really? HIGHLY Interesting. That "other Dreamcast guy" may get the jump on you guys with Saturn.
