Re: PSIO not booting (goes to stock menu)

I'll report back as soon as the new stuff is here. If this doesn't work I'll call it quits. Thanks for the support. I hope it finally works out for you. You deserve a break at this point! The freeze at the orange logo might have been due to some faulty pins (oxidation or some other factor). Otherwi...

Re: CD audio over SD?

As far as I'm aware, I was the first person to report the game-breaking bug in FFVII, and I want it fixed as much as anyone even though I simply played through the game on disc while the devs do their thing. Hopefully it does get fixed soon so Takehani can go away instead of asking everyone to not ...

Re: CD audio over SD?

I am sorry that you posted in this thread at all. I feel dumber for reading the things you wrote. Go outside....and I don't mean driving to the nearest gas station to get $5 on pump 4 , 3x SquatchXXL beef sticks and a monster energy drink....I mean like outside doing a hobby where you interact with...

Re: PSIO not booting (goes to stock menu) (me too)

I try http://www.gemba-games.fr which was pretty close to me (40 min in car) to look what' is wrong and the guy solve the problem : the switchboard was well installed and the problem was the parallel port which was dirty and oxyded. Just like I said, the mod was proper. The parallel port issues are...

Re: CD audio over SD?

Are you with the PR department? Please, let everyone at Cybdyn know that I am quite happy with my purchase, and to expect a few more orders from me. LOL, of course not. Matt will surely see your post and we're all happy with this flash cart per se, but things turned out to be more complicated that ...

Re: CD audio over SD?

I didn't need/want the thing I brought up implemented anytime soon. I was just asking about possibilities for home-brew or even direct implementation years down the road. Even if the great fellows at Cybdyn don't work this feature, someone certainly will. I am just prospecting the future on my back...

Re: PSIO wont work (never has)

I am having the same issue where the PSIO won't boot if I have the top half of the console case attached. As soon as I remove it it boots up fine. Is there a fix for this? This suggests there's a problem with the pins of the parallel port. Clean the pins and make sure PSIO fits nicely when you have...

Re: CD audio over SD?

You're both right, but just take it easy here you two on the forums please. Keep it friendly. Maybe just slow down on the posts 'Takehaniyasubiko' :) I'm always taking it easy. Threatening other users like amerika just did is not "taking it easy". Also, I don't appreciate when people don't refer to...

Re: CD audio over SD?

Your intent with your post is to passive-aggressively push what you think the PSIO devs priorities should be while also trying to minimally harass somebody making a simple feature request that isn't in line with your vision of current priorities. Crazy. I read your post quite clearly as I read your...

This is a Feature Request forum. People are allowed to request features here as it's literally the purpose.
Read what I wrote. All extra features should be considered once the mass-production actually starts

Re: Cue2cu2: A Python script to create CU2 sheets

It makes more sense in these cases to go for somthing other than milliseconds. It's the same with video timecodes where you have hours, minutes, seconds, frames. You can cut at any sector/frame, but not any millisecond as it might be midway through the indivisible base unit. Yes, you are right, but...

Re: Cue2cu2: A Python script to create CU2 sheets

It's not milliseconds, it's sectors. Yes, there are only 75 per second. Each sector is 2352 bytes as per MODE2/2352. CDs are weird. I was going by this, where it's described as milliseconds. https://www.enfis.it/cue-splitter-tutorial/ But yeah, this is only XX, so I guess it's sectors, although tha...

Re: Cue2cu2: A Python script to create CU2 sheets

What worries me is that milliseconds match in total, but they don't seem to match per track. Did System Console merge them in a wrong order? Unless this is some weird timing code for miliseconds and it goes to 75, not 100? Also, it's the Redump table that adds 2 seconds of pregap to each track, wher...

It should be always +4 when compared to the original cue sheet.
Well, it's not always four. For example, the total for Vagrant Story USA is 70:55:26, but the .cu2 for that image says 71:01:26. That would 6 seconds of difference.

Re: Cue2cu2: A Python script to create CU2 sheets

I phrased that badly. It's two seconds for all track starts; they don't add up. When you compare a CU2 sheet to it's cue counterpart, you see the difference never changes. Except for the last track end, obviously, but that isn't even listed in the cue sheet. Timecodes from Redump: # Type Pregap Len...

Re: Real Bout Dominated Mind not working.

Except when it doesn't because it seemingly relies on the OS' file system sorting when merging which can be different from sorting by filename (and thus track number) when the files are located on a network share or similar. But that should be fixed sooner or later. Just something to keep in mind a...

Re: Cue2cu2: A Python script to create CU2 sheets

It seems to be an offset for or regarding lead-in and lead-out. Two seconds for each track start due to lead-in, and two additional seconds for at least (but I assume only) the last track's end due to lead-out. Well, that explains the difference being so big with games like Tomb Raider II (61 track...

Re: Cue2cu2: A Python script to create CU2 sheets

Matt and Yuri, are the mentioned inconsistencies maybe a bug? I have since confirmed with Matt that this is indeed a workaround and expected behavior. So compatibility mode stays as default. Can you please explain what is this workaround for? It is quite jarring to see different timecodes. For exam...

Re: CD audio over SD?

All extra features should be considered once the mass-production actually starts. Right now, people are waiting to even get their PSIOs. Plus, those who already own it have severe compatibility issues with flagship titles like Final Fantasy VII or Resident Evil 2.

Also, you can make a CDDA rip (combined tracks) using a mounted image via any virtual drive app and use imgburn to make a single bin & cue.
The merging in System Console works perfectly, provided the dump is good.
