Re: Mega CD

Krikzz will sell one in June for just under 200. You could also play mega CD and genesis on the MISTer FPGA.

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread

I'm very interested in your tool. Would you be willing to share? Ok, I share it here (see attachment). In order to use the tool you need that Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2017 is installed on the machine. Probably you already have it installed otherwise it can be downloaded here https://go....

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread

Hello everyone. I have make a simple executable file (implemented in C++ for windows 64 bit) that updates a cu2 file in old format into the new format by simple drag and release the file on the excetuble file (the old cue file will be overwritten in this way). The conversion is made only if it is r...

Re: How to batch process multi bin games and cu2 for PSIO

I think I did the first one and got something like "you already have that". In any case I gave up and did game per game using the systems console. Did you also try the second one? It's to test if "you already have that". nah men, I got tired of trying and used the systems console. Maybe I'll get to...

Just to be absolutely sure, try both

Code: Select all

sudo apt install coreutils
and

Code: Select all

sudo apt install findutils
I think I did the first one and got something like "you already have that".

Am I even using the right ubuntu for windows 10?

In any case I gave up and did game per game using the systems console.

What's interesting is that your shell doesn't say what command is missing. What shell are you using? you can find out by entering echo $SHELL.
I got:

echo $SHELL
/bin/bash

Systems Console request

Is it possible to have the Systems Console to do mass bin merging of all of my 200+ game images each in their separate folders + add their respective CU2 and with the option to rename them according to the folder name? I've been trying to use the alternatives, but they were made to use in a linux/py...

Re: How to batch process multi bin games and cu2 for PSIO

Is there a complete N00B guide for mergehelper? It's just not working for me, and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. The readme assumes that you know your linux and I sure don't.

Re: Libcrypt games list

What about these?
https://consolecopyworld.com/psx/psx_pr ... ames.shtml

This is where I started my research, a lot of US and Jap games have other protection measures that may or may not interfere with the PSIO (Matt could confirm).

Can Mergehelper also be used to merge other CD system games like the PCE, mega cd, saturn, etc?

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread

I had to get many of the games on my track list here as they wouldn't show up on the redump database, no matter under which title (I had to research hundreds of titles, one by one, to make sure there wasn't a redump copy). Please make a list of NTSC-J PS1 games which do not show on Redump in any wa...

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread

I have been chasing obscure japanese games, and many do not show up on complete redump lists either, they're not re-releases or reprints either, they're just not popular enough to have received the attention others have. Maybe they're trash, maybe they're good, but it's exciting to try them out. Her...

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread

I think Matt should bring back the monolithic cue support. Not all Japanese PS1 games available on the internet and people still rip their own cds. If there's demand, I might add the feature in my current version of pcsx. And it can parse way more than just cue+bin. I should probably add the CU2 fo...

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread

Im only doing redump sets at the moment. The Jap collection we are using is from Archive.org. Here, I've made a separate post to help others do the same thing I do to make monolithic bins and cu2 sheets batch. Check my signature. Thanks either way, I really appreciate your efforts. Surely I will fi...

Re: Libcrypt games list

I'm sharing this list with whomever is interested, the main reason to do this is that I had to go through 3 different sites for a complete list, which was kind of annoying, so I decided to compile and organize all the data I could find. https://goo.gl/vueZWM I just went to redump and downloaded the...

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread

Should I include the monolithic cue files in the new cu2 collection for user reference or should we rely on users checking their bins crc32 against redumps site? As I've been exploring the japanese library, I've found that many, many, many titles do not have a redump iso yet. As a result, I have a ...

Re: Should I update??

Well, this really blew up, yikes!

Thanks everyone for their suggestions. I think I'll upgrade later as I have very little game time lately for me to actually test the PSIO and offer valuable feedback. I might find the time to see if langrisser IV translated works now though.

Should I update??

Hi there,

I was seeing the newly reported bugs and I was wondering, is it time to upgrade or should I stay with 2018 firmware?

Which games stopped working or work poorly with the new FW version?

Re: Disable Dithering

The guys on this forum are collecting "de-dithering" patches: https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-PSOne-Dithering-OFF-patches Though I'm not sure if it's still relevant given the bat file Tobiasrieper shared. BTW, Tobiasrieper, it's worth noting that not all patches are/should be de-dithering, some of t...
