Re: Official DCIO News and Development Thread

Both these devices were designed with the 3.3V power in mind. They will not kill your console. Thanks for shedding some light on this matter, I don't have enough knowledge and I've always been a bit worried about using these devices in my consoles. "Better safe than sorry" is what I usually tell my...

Re: Official DCIO News and Development Thread

There's no safety issue with GDEMU OR the USB GD-ROM. If you remove the 12V rail that fixes the "overheating" issue as it is anyways. I own both. That 12V rail was for the GDROM specifically and since it's removed it's a null issue. Both these devices were designed with the 3.3V power in mind. They ...

Re: How to change the background PSIO music?

I love the default song currently. Reminds me of something from the Matrix, like a montage song or something. I'm happy with it :)

This satiator looks bad ass. I'll be getting one to replace the Rhea most likely.

Re: CSO support?

EBOOT.PBP I believe was Sony's official "ISO" file that had the Sony specific key encrypted to PSN bought games. When you dumped a UMD via the various homebrew methods, you'd get the ISO format which then could be further compressed to CSO via a program called UMDgen. Pretty cool shit really. I love...

Re: CSO support?

CSO was a commonly used ISO image variant used in the PlayStation Portable scene. Nice for the most part on storing games but some titles, most notably Square-Enix titles, would suffer the most.

Re: Goodbye, and Thanks

Unfortunately I must be the second to add to this post and bid my farewell. At least for the time being. Had a serious issue come up and since my money tree isn't producing crop like I want it to I must sell my PSIO. I have it priced in a fair auction, running for 3 days. If it bids up exorbitantly ...

Re: Making a legal backup of a Playstation CD on the PS1 and store directly in the SD Card.

If it was even possible to rip your discs straight to PSIO, it would take forever. Quite literally 1 game over the course of a day or two. The PS1 laser only reads at bytes/ kilobytes per second. Take a game like Final Fantasy VIII, which is 600+megs per disc and you should see where I'm going with ...

Re: Game testing group

I think the MegaMan Legends audio glitch you speak of has something to do with the XA decoding of which Matt and company will be creating a new decoding algorithm for. Playing some games like Lunar, or Metal Gear Solid VR Missions, you can easily notice how loud the sound is on those FMV's due to th...

Re: Official DCIO News and Development Thread

I think CDI should be one of the more desirable images to be supported. It seems like a majority of decent rips and cracks are CDI themselves. Of course I use GDI solely on my USB GD-ROM. Like the version of Shenmue 2 that is cracked and modded to utilize spoken English from the X-Box version and is...

Excellent to hear a firmware is already coming so soon after the previous one. I'm waiting to thoroughly test until after the next couple of bigger updates are made available. Really looking forward to the XA improvement update whenever that is :)

Confirmed- after I used the healing leaf the game wouldn't let me input anymore commands. The camera just rotated and music kept playing but could not advance further.

Re: Game testing group

Final Fantasy Anthology does a thing with the opening FMV- it has a very infrequent slight stutter in audio and video, very minimal but noticeable nonetheless.
