Re: [Menu System V2.6.15] Bug Reports

@wakahana that sounds like a bad CU2 sheet which is missing the pregaps. This is what I was talking about a few weeks ago. I made all my CU2s before the thing was fixed. And so they are all bad. lol Half original CUEs are gone, too. A lot of rare ones. But hey, they are all backups so I could just ...

Re: Playing PAL games on NTSC-U system

I know I know. Just curious. Thanks for keeping it up. I can see how addicting all this stuff is. Even though I'm not on the dev side of it, I can see how a passion project can be so engaging. I've been building a library with yours' and others' help, software, and hardware, and getting it all to fu...

Re: Playing PAL games on NTSC-U system

Gotcha. Guess I should start doing some RGB research. I found a video about a guy who made composite cables for his ps1 with RGB signal. I also read some conflicting stuff about having to switch back and forth for different games. So am I correct in my interpretation of what you guys are saying by s...

Re: Playing PAL games on NTSC-U system

You need to use either RGB or do the 'colour modification' to your PlayStation GPU (if you do the colour mod however, your TV needs to support PAL50). So what exactly does the patch I used do, then? I was under the impression that PAL games just need a patch to display on NTSC but I don't even reme...

Re: Playing PAL games on NTSC-U system

What do you mean by "display all messed up"? Hey, Matt! Hope things are going well for you down there. The display either stays all gray and unplayable or it is off center, likely maintaining the PAL aspect ratio. All 4 of them have issues displaying, but Mega Man B&C displays color but a big porti...

Re: How is everyone here saving their games?

I've been finding mine for $10, which is significantly higher when you do the math on how many I would need in total. Where do you get yours? ElectronicBay https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F324026811368 I just saw this and it's gone. But I wanted to th...

Playing PAL games on NTSC-U system

I've patched 4 games (Bishi Bashi Special, Megaman - Battle & Chase, Sonic Wings Special, X-COM 2- Terror from the Deep) using patches I found here: https://consolecopyworld.com/psx/psx_patches_s_2.shtml and they still display all messed up. Can anyone tell me the proper way to do this? I've figured...

Re: How is everyone here saving their games?

https://www.tweaktown.com/news/63975/playstation-classic-supports-up-15-saves-per-game/index.html Something like this is probably up Matt's sleeve at some point, I imagine. Wouldn't be too hard to reverse engineer, considering how easy it was for people to get inside those minis and crack them. He's...

Re: binmerge: A Python script to merge multibin+cue to single bin+cue

I don't have any issues. Sometimes a game freezes. (Could have been the game, my system, or the PSIO) My problem is that i have 81 CUE2s that are apparently wrong and that's what I was trying to get to the bottom of. Soul Blade was just an example I was using to look for symptoms of CUE2 issues sinc...

Re: binmerge: A Python script to merge multibin+cue to single bin+cue

I was just asking because it would make it easier for me to determine what will and will not be signs of issues specifically pertaining to the CUE2 sheets. I'm obviously not going to start listing off each game's issue and ask if it's related. I just wanted to know if it COULD be in this case to nar...

Re: binmerge: A Python script to merge multibin+cue to single bin+cue

Soul Blade froze after the menu screen with just random song clips playing. I reset and pressed start earlier and it worked fine. Could this be an issue related to my cue2 or is that just soul blade?

Re: Official DCIO News and Development Thread

The expansion port is almost certainly not going to work. The Dreamcast G2 bus that the expansion port is attached to is specifically designed not to be able to read or write to the bus the GD-ROM is on, nor does it have DMA access to the memory mapped to the game execution. That's what internal mo...

Re: binmerge: A Python script to merge multibin+cue to single bin+cue

I wouldn't know which have issues and which don't. I also wouldn't know which are redump compatible.

I like the do nothing option, though. That was a pretty funny touch :P

Re: binmerge: A Python script to merge multibin+cue to single bin+cue

I was just clarifying that bin means track in this sense, i guess. So what you're saying is that it is not 2 seconds across the board as the first couple pages of this thread imply? So if I have no back up of the originals to redo with a different program, and I can't just add 2 seconds for the 50 o...

Re: binmerge: A Python script to merge multibin+cue to single bin+cue

If you merged using binmerge and still have your cue sheets, it'd be fairly easy to just redo them via a shell script. As I said, my dude, I did it all with the system console and then axed all irrelevant backups for a clean transfer to the SD like a pure genius. If you could tell me if ALL the cue...
