Re: Final Fantasy VIII crashes with newest firmware
I've tested it too, and there are no problems for me, I've completed whole sequence from coming to Dollet to returning to the ship. But I use beta firmware, it's not that much different, but still, it may affect the results. Hopefully you'll find problem in your setup or beta FW will become public a...

Re: Buzzing sound in certain games
I've tried MM x4 now with beta firmware and completed two areas without problems. If I'm not mistaken I've tested it in V2.6.28 too and there were no problems. Did you try any games from CD? If yes, did you hear buzzing too? Update: I've now updated my PSIO to the most recent firmware and a quick se...

Re: G-Police - Weapons of Justice (USA)-extraneous sounds [MS V2.6.28]
Unfortunately, it does. I've checked this too, and it happens from CD as wellTakehaniyasubiko wrote: ↑January 5th, 2021, 7:28 am In any case, it happens from the CD-ROM on real hardware, so it's a bug in the game.

Re: No sound Tekken 1
Well, there are plenty of tools online that convert bins to iso, but I'm not sure music will work without CU2 file.

Re: No sound Tekken 1
Why would you need that? Just copy folder with bin and cu2 to your memory card, boot PS1 and select your game in the menu.

Re: Final Fantasy VII
The CD-ROM does work with CD1, but it freezes on CD2, even though the gam works fully in Mednafen. Seems like the current version of the patch creates bad EEC blocks and it causes real hardware to eventually freeze with it, even though emulators manage to load everything. Well, basically Matt may l...

Re: No sound Tekken 1
But, with the game Tekken 1, the game start but there is no sound during the fight. I try with iso and bin game, same problem. And an other question, during a game, can we exit the game and return to PS IO’s menu ? Without reset button. For exemple with a combinaison button controller. Thank’s. Wha...

Re: Final Fantasy VII
Yes. I wonder why it doesn't work, but it will be probably fixed along with something else in the end. Also, verification of CD with ImgBurn shows that sync/header was modified and there is a graphical bug on the start screen (on CD and in some k1Vx modes).

Re: Final Fantasy VII
No, man, that's a completely different patch. It only pastes the slightly improved PC translation from Steam. The patch by GreenGoblin is a completely new translation done by some fans. It's much better than any of the official English translations. Hmm, okay, if it's so good, it's probably worh to...

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread
Which is what scares me, actually... We believed the interrupts are "golden" now, but Langrisser needed a major change. How will this affect other games? Nobody knows for now, I guess? That's why beta-testers group is formed, isn't it? Like they sing, If there's something strange in your ...

Re: Final Fantasy VII
Okay, I've tested it from CD, it works. Maybe it will work with PSIO too after new changes that Matt said he introduced.

Re: Final Fantasy VII
Doesn't load from PSIO and CD or is it just PSIO? From PSIO. I can burn it, but mrblair1 says that it works for him, so it will probably work for me too. There is newer version of the same (I think) translation - http://www.romhacking.net/translations/5682/, maybe it should be checked instead with ...

As seen in Bug Reports section, you can write so that everyone understands you. Why don't you write like that here?

Re: Final Fantasy VII
I checked it from your save, and it doesn't load for me too. But, if NA version works all right, the problem seems to be the patch itself.Takehaniyasubiko wrote: ↑December 22nd, 2020, 10:56 am I think OP's disc image is just bad, but somebody should check this out.

Re: Final Fantasy VII
This is next to Junon on Disc 1. I can test it tomorrow, but I think it's useless. I mean, it will probably work for me, but it won't solve mrblair1 's problem. He should find proper images or patch correct USA bins himself. I don't know why it works from CD, but if the hash is different, it is cle...

Re: Final Fantasy VII
Well, even the hash of patched version is different. It's like this:
MD5: 3E138622E14F73873B6F2BABBED9F262
And there is no bug entering Junon from Disc 3. I don't have save on Disc 1, but it's probably working too.
