Re: Final Fantasy VI Freezing at Cave to Sealed Gate

They are the same from a healthy CD-ROM. Most people played this version with worn-out CD-ROMs and didn't realize that's the problem, not the port itself. Yes, I've tried to play from CD-Rom two times already, and it's really quite similar. PS1 version has some slowdowns though (maybe SNES version ...

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread

Only kind of issue I still have with PSIO is the XA channel not being supported as far as I understand (Vib Ribbon/ CTR aku mouth not being animated) and I don't know if the current hardware will ever fix this Matt said previously that it is possible and they will fix it with Yuri after MC manager,...

Re: SD Card failed to initialise after playing PSIO intro video [Menu System V2.6.27]

I once formatted my card with 32768 kB cluster size, if I remember correctly, and PSIO couldn't detect this card at all. Maybe that's a bug, but I'm not so sure and recommended cluster size is 256 kB anyway, so I didn't report it.

I'll archive this topic since it's not a major bug related to a game and there are other methods to run cheats.
Okay with me, if it doesn't affect anything else, I could live without music in this cheats collection. Thanks for looking into it!

Re: Street Fighter Collection (USA) (Disc 1) (Rev 1)

So what was the problem exactly? What do I need to fix to make sure this doesn't happen?? :) The problem is like this: If you merge the image with SysCon, but only have Disc 1 in the folder, SysCon creates multidisk.lst anyway, and music doesn't play in the game. Possible fix: SysCon may check, if ...

Re: Cheats 'N Codes Volume 1 (USA)

This is just a Game Shark disc. Can you please provide us the CRC32 and show us the link on ReDump? It might be a bad rip so the audio doesn't play or it happens from the real disc. Yes, I don't think that it's important and I don't use such discs at all, but it may thereotically mean that somethin...

Re: Street Fighter Collection (USA) (Disc 1) (Rev 1)

I think multidisc.lst is created by syscon because of disc 1 written in the name of the game. Yes, of course, I just think it shouldn't create it if Disc 2 is not actually in the folder. Though it's not really critical bug and probably no one would even notice it if they didn't test games instead o...

Re: Final Fantasy VI Freezing at Cave to Sealed Gate

Thank you, sarty51 ! I'm currently in Kohlingen myself, will reach the cursed place :D in a couple of days. Hopefully it will be fixed by then :P BTW, loading times are very good with PSIO, maybe there is a difference if you measure it with a timer, but I could easily think that I'm playing from car...

Thanks for the confirmation that it's a formatting problem with multidisc.lst.
Yes, thank you, ka55! The only thing I don't understand is why multidisc.lst is created if there is no Disc 2 in the folder. Maybe that should be fixed. Well, usually people use two discs, of course, but...

ka55, did you create your CU2 file with latest System Console and only Disc 1 in the folder?

We will. I'm starting the game now too, because this has to be fixed. And I like PS1 version better too :)

Re: Street Fighter Collection (USA) (Disc 1) (Rev 1)

If it also doesn't make a difference, it's probably Kito's formatting of the multidisc.lst file. Maybe, but I didn't do anything manually, I didn't even know that multidisc.lst file was there before I started to search for problems with my files. Also I noticed that our CU2s are clearly different. ...

I tested it on a SCPH-1000.

Is your CRC-32 for the merged image f95bae6d?
Yes, it is. I've found the problem, it was in the multidisc file. After I deleted it, music works. I only created CU2 for Disc 1, because I didn't test Disc 2, but multidisc file was created and for some reason it creates problems with music.

Re: Street Fighter Collection (USA) (Disc 1) (Rev 1)

This particular PS1 CD has 71 audio tracks. Your CU2 is up to date, right? I've created it two times with latest version of Systems Console - first, when I tested all NTSC games and, second, yesterday when I tested remaining potential problems. So, if it's a problem with CU2, then, maybe, something...

Re: Puzznic (USA)

Try your disc; it's the same. Yes, thanks, it seems to be the case. I just found several similar problems with music and thought they were probably caused by one bug. Also there is music in youtube videos, but they are probably from NTSC-J version. This is useful nonetheless because now anyone can ...

Re: How about a list of games that require specific modes?

I found out there is another game that works in k1v2: Killer Loop. I thought it was a bug like in several other games, but since it works in one of EXTDSP modes, it shall be considered a feature :) Please, add it to the list too.
