Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread

Big fan of the OSSC. Looks just as good as a PVM on an OLED TV. Gives super rich colours and true black levels. Low latency was the key selling point for me on the OSSC since I got sick of playing 'Tekken 3' (as well as many other games, such as 'Mortal Kombat Trilogy') with lag.

Re: Issue with Boot to BIOS from the PSIO Menu on SCPH-1000

That's really odd, I'll have to check that out. Sounds like a bug in Sony's BIOS. What BIOS version are you running? (you can check this in the System Information options from PSIO).

Re: PSIO not booting after new SD card

It should boot up so long as the Switch Board is installed and working correctly. Open a support ticket in the Service Desk quoting this forum URL and I'll get the return process started.

I'm trying to get my cart sent back for repair or swap but haven't recieved any reply from my JIRA ticket. It looks like it was resolved before I could tell them I need to send back after troubleshooting. CSPSD-387
That's strange. Okay, I've re-opened it.

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread

We haven't even stopped working on PSIO. That's just a stab in the back right there and something really low to do. Would be wiser to not support the cloners and actually just wait for us to fix the games that have problems. So don't worry, we have heard you. The games will get fixed soon. Just be p...

Unfortunately, the latest update did not solve the problem with long downloads.
Harmful Park is still loading for about a minute.
How long does the original disc take?

Out of curiosity, why has the ATV volume support took so long to be added, since psio has been out of beta for years and wouldn't this be an important feature to add since it's detrimental to the gameplay in some ways.
It's complex. Upgrading the XA decoder also took a few years.

Re: Street Fighter Alpha 3 - Sound of music at the end of the fight does not lower it cuts the sound straight.

Not a timing issues. It's an ATV register issue. "Bust a Groove" does the same thing when you pause a song. It should fade-out, but instead it keeps playing and then cuts off. This is because PSIO isn't controlling the volume registers for these XA channels and even CDDA correctly. Don't worry, we'l...

The problem that 'Ace' is describing can be fixed when the ATV registers are fully implemented :)

Re: Scumbag on eBay selling PSIO firmware files

And with what firmware did the binding to the serial number begin? Were the old ones not protected? All firmwares are protected but the fail safe has been triggered. It's part of the bootloader which the Chinese stole and copied without realising it was in the code and they didn't modify it. They j...

Re: Problem with PSIO. Very slow loading in games

1) Your PU-8 mainboard doesn't support the opposite video mode (it's common with the SCPH-1000).
2) We're aware of the problem and will have a new update on Monday which will fix it :)
