Re: Activation Problem (Black Screen PSIO LOGO )

Can you show a picture of your Switch Board install please? Try and take clear, high quality closeups of the soldering.

Re: Reset Button Help

The Switch Board install looks alright (dry joints though) but apart from that it looks okay.

It's probably power supply related. Bad power supplies in a PlayStation 1 can cause it too. I'd suggest trying another one in your console.

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread

We're still working on SD Card write support. LibCrypt patching will be done by adding a SBI (sub-channel) file to the game directory (exactly like adding a CU2 sheet). We should be able though to have the Menu System write it automatically for you :) Wait, does this mean we will no longer have to ...

Re: PSIO Black Screen after latest update

If the system froze when scrolling in the games list, that's something to do with the PlayStation hardware itself since PSIO isn't doing anything when you're just scrolling in the list. It's strange though that it can boot up when the cartridge is removed. I want to say that something has failed in ...

I think I'll wait for that buffer in FPGA that you're going to make.
That will be a while.

Re: How long is the warranty period for PSIO

If the cartridge was dropped then there may be a solder crack since that's a very large impact shock that exceeds the stresses of normal use and as the PCB warms up the crack becomes larger so it doesn't make contact. The only way you'll be able to fix it is with a full surface mount soldering works...

If SD Card 128 GB formatted to FAT32...
FAT32 doesn't work on cards that large with PSIO. You're just having fun now and experimenting.

Re: How long is the warranty period for PSIO

We guarantee PSIO will function for decades because of the quality of the device itself, but the warranty for PSIO is only 1 year. After that, repair costs come into place depending on the problem but usually they are fixed for free and users just pay for the shipping costs. It's mainly if the warra...

If you use a very thin PCB, you're rather off soldering the board by plated half-hole vias. However, I don't know if EAGLE can do such a thing. You might need to use a more powerful PCB CAD program to achieve that.

Some do, but that's why we have a few versions of it (IE: K1V1, K1V3, etc).
But I mean the specific address used by this Game Shark CD since it doesn't work with any of the EXT DSP modes.
This Game Shark disc is overwriting the EXTDSP code. That's it.
