Re: [Menu System V2.6.12] Bug Reports

Only a cache file can substantially speed this up for people with large game collections, but I can already see complaints they have to update their cache file each time something is changed on the card, so there's no pleasing everybody. With that being said, you can please most people and save tim...

Re: [Menu System V2.6.12] Bug Reports

This is all part of the optimisation. Don't worry, the Sony boot sounds isn't going anywhere. I'm trying to fix the sync issue for scan converters so that the sound and picture don't disappear when the video modes changes from the BIOS to the "PSIO Initialising" screen :) @James-F If you've added mo...

Re: [Menu System V2.6.12] Bug Reports

I'm not changing the Menu System itself. I'm only changing the system initialisation screen because that's where the problem is.

What is the reason for not simply reverting the change that caused this sync drop?
Speed. The new changes saves around 2 seconds of boot time on PSIO.

Re: [Menu System V2.6.12] Bug Reports

Or we could just enable interlaced mode. That should fix it :)
If it doesn't, then it's a resolution change issue which I'll fix after this update.

Re: [Menu System V2.6.12] Bug Reports

As for the sync loss in the second black boot screen, the audio continues playing through the analog outputs, it is just the digitizer (OSSC, RetroTink, etc.) will stop sending audio once the sync is changed,, or more precisely the receiving device (TV) will stop audio playback until it resyncs wit...

Sounds like your card has possibly become corrupted or fragmented.

Re: [Menu System V2.6.12] Bug Reports

No that won't be causing the issue (unless you actually do have a manually defined EXTDSP mode file).

Re: [Menu System V2.6.12] Bug Reports

I can't get past the first screen, I get eaten by zombies the moment the game starts. This game sucks anyway. 8-) Give me a good platformer, fighting, driving game, over this crap. Resident Evil 2 is one of the best games on the PlayStation 1. It's also a survivor horror so you gotta' be smart and ...

Downgrading isn't possible. I'll check this out and find what the issue is.

Re: Reset button always reset game not back to PSIO menu

Strange. You might have to send the cartridge in for repair so we can take a look at it for you, but first let me run some tests with that PSIO model on my end here to make sure there's nothing wrong with our code :)

Re: [Menu System V2.6.12] Bug Reports

PSIO doesn't run Linux. It's our own proprietary system fully written from scratch from the ground up. :null: To recapitulate, we're currently left with: - extremely minor frame pacing issues in some games (like Road Rash '95 and FF7); - stereo flip issue; - CDDA audio tracks need to start earlier b...

Re: [Menu System V2.6.12] Bug Reports

It's an interrupt callback issue in the Sony libraries. It's been fixed in the upcoming Menu System V2.6.13 :)

Re: Issues with the DualShock release of Resident Evil 2

I've been following this thread, but I cannot figure out what would be causing the issue. Are you using a wallpaper by any chance? I assume you're using the latest firmware too??

Re: Issues with the DualShock release of Resident Evil 2

Obviously, make sure your files match the MULTIDISC.LST sheet too. Also, make sure your CU2 sheet names match.

"Resident Evil 2 (Leon).BIN"
"Resident Evil 2 (Leon).CU2"

"Resident Evil 2 (Claire).BIN"
"Resident Evil 2 (Claire).CU2"

Re: fitmware flag

There is a pandemic in Australia at the moment. All businesses are closed, and we have been trying hard to get through all the service desk tickets.

From your very negative post, I will now push your ticket to the end of the list and get to it last. Have a nice day.
