Re: Puzznic (USA)

This issue with the retail disc was reported back in 2003. https://www.ngemu.com/threads/puzznic-r ... psx.38124/

Re: Puzznic (USA)

I confirmed there is no music with the redump copy of Puzznic (USA) using various emulators on a PC, including mednafen. The redump copy of Puzznic (Japan) seems to have working audio. Oddly enough, this YouTube video of the game is from the USA disc, which sometimes has working audio, but sometimes...

And thanks for finding those 2 issues @bikerspade, how did you find them?
I was doing a romcenter audit of my redump archives vs the latest redump.dat, and it reported those two as incorrect.

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread

Also, the CU2 sheet in the pack for Twisted Metal 4 (USA) is actually for Twisted Metal 4 (USA) (Rev 1). Most likely because the pre-revision disc wasn't added to redump until August 2020.

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread

REDUMP NTSC-U and PAL cu2 collections with pregaps are now complete, check my signature below for the download link. I think the cu2 file for "Breath of Fire IV (USA)" is incorrect. Note that redump updated the cuesheet for this disc in September 2019. I don't think this collection reflects that ch...

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread

Thank you for your hard work in testing all those games and compiling an updated list of discs which require k1vX compatibility modes. :clap

Your checksum should match redump prior to applying the LibCrypt patch.

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread

Strange, my Samsung EVO Plus (32 GB) works fine with PSIO. I confirm. SAMSUG EVO+ 64g works flawlessly on all my devices including ODE (other manufacturers), and I've written about it a lot before :D now it works with PSIO too. I want it to be this way forever :) I can also confirm. Using a Samsung...

Re: Final Fantasy VI Freezing at Cave to Sealed Gate

You could also use a DexDrive to transfer saves to/from a PS1 memory card and PC. I use mine connected to my PC’s serial port to do so, with 3rd party software called Dexter.

Make sure it's sold by Amazon and not a third-party (FYI your link indicates it's a 3rd party seller)

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread

I’m excited about PSIO having write support. Maybe we can see a game list cache feature soon so that PSIO boot times can be reduced to a few seconds using a cached game list.

Re: PSIO Development Discussion Thread

What don’t you like about FreeMCBoot? I’ve heard of compatibility issues but I’ve yet to run across any I couldn’t fix. I agree, it has very high compatibility, still actively maintained, and works great with a large internal 1TB or 2TB HDD. These two couple titles I have been unable to fix, regard...

Nice, looks like my SCPH-1001 has the newer GPU (CXD8561Q/CXD9500Q) according to the [System Diagnostics] screen.
