Re: Street Fighter Collection US Disc 1 no sound

Funny, even that list is technically incorrect; when using Swiss with GCLoader the Samsung cards listed as incompatible work perfectly fine. Just goes to show the complexity of SD Card support I suppose (which is strange as it’s meant to be a universal standard) Yes, it is weird. Samsung Evo Plus i...

Re: Street Fighter Collection US Disc 1 no sound

Either a fake card or it's partition is corrupted. Nothing wrong with the game here on my Sandisk card. It's not just about the make. It's also about the model. With that being said, I also suspect his card is a fake. There's a ton of Chinese fakes circulating on the market, even in well-known stor...

Re: [Menu System V2.6.12] Bug Reports

I imagine it can be annoying to him since he implemented the change and obviously didn't think it was a problem, so it may sound like we're just crying about something trivial. He may think we care because we're fanatics posting here often, but most users won't care. Oh, I see. The thing is, though...

Re: [Menu System V2.6.12] Bug Reports

@Matt, I imagine how annoying we may seem right now about this, but could you please address it for our collective peace of mind? To be honest, I don't see why this would be annoying. It seems like most PSIO users don't want to save those 2 seconds and just want the SONY boot sequence untouched. It...

Re: [Menu System V2.6.12] Bug Reports

Thanks, this is what I hear too. Okay, this is wrong. During the black boot screen with the PS1 logo, that last note that goes high (right here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOPViekdacQ&feature=youtu.be&t=12), it's being cut off too soon, it's pretty obvious. That last note should reverberate un...

Re: Street Fighter Collection US Disc 1 no sound

I know that, but i will still report. Maybe SanDisk SDs are the main problem. No, they aren't. I use a SanDisk card and it's great. Even CybDyn uses SanDisk cards. Your card must be a fake or it's damaged. There is also a possibility that your particular model is simply incompatible. I noticed goin...

Re: Street Fighter Collection US Disc 1 no sound

Yes, the SD was the problem. Interesting. Tried another Sandisk 32GB formated in Fat32. The other SD is formated in exfat. Could that bei the cause of the Problem? No, it's the SD card itself. exFAT is actually the preferred formatting. The SanDisk which was giving you problems is either fake or da...

The audio plays for me.

Your SD card is most likely the problem. Do you, by any chance, use a Samsung card?

Can anyone check if Ace Combat 2 boots with K1V4?
Boots perfectly with K1V4 on my setup (both Quick Start and double X).

I will check Street Fighter Collection (USA) (Disc 1).bin with 3677ee892d0a10096228a8764dbfc7b4 MD5 in about an hour, when I can use my PS1.

Re: [Menu System V2.6.12] Bug Reports

The boot audio fades out in a callback on each vertical sync. It shouldn't be cutting them off. It currently only cuts off from the video mode changes on scan converters. On a CRT right now, it doesn't cut off. I guess it's not exactly 2 seconds, but seems like it cuts off a bit from the very end o...

Re: Street Fighter Collection US Disc 1 no sound

Which version of Systems Console did you use?

Street Fighter Collection US Disc 1 is atypical because the last track is Data/Mode 2 with a 3 seconds pregap.

Make sure everything is merged and CU2ed correctly.

Re: [Menu System V2.6.12] Bug Reports

Only a cache file can substantially speed this up for people with large game collections, but I can already see complaints they have to update their cache file each time something is changed on the card, so there's no pleasing everybody. With that being said, you can please most people and save time...

Re: [Menu System V2.6.12] Bug Reports

I'm not changing the Menu System itself. I'm only changing the system initialisation screen because that's where the problem is. You mean the black screen with the PSIO logo? It's 240p now and you want to change it to 480i, whereas Menu System itself is still going to be 240p? Is all of this really...

Re: [Menu System V2.6.12] Bug Reports

There are some PS1 games that are 480i only throughout the whole game (Tekken 3). Yeah, Tekken 3 uses a weird resolution of 384x480. NAMCO most likely used it to purposefully blur the scanlines on CRTs, so that aliasing wouldn't be so noticeable. But that's actually the native resolution Tekken 3 i...

Re: [Menu System V2.6.12] Bug Reports

Speed. The new changes saves around 2 seconds of boot time on PSIO. Not worth it at all. I wouldn't alter the SONY boot sequence no matter what, too. We should make a poll or something. Matt only talked about enabling interlaced mode for the menu, which is a still image. It's not going to change th...

Re: [Menu System V2.6.12] Bug Reports

480i sucking ass on PS1 has nothing to do with PVMs or BVMs. M4 is a high-end PVM, anyway. PS1's 480i simply doesn't look good on anything other than solid backgrounds because the console doesn't output graphics which are complex enough to fill a 480i frame properly. 240p is an absolute must for the...

Or we could just enable interlaced mode. That should fix it :)
Please, don't. 480i looks horrible on PS1. Keep it at 240p for the true scanlines look or give us an option to keep it.

Re: [Menu System V2.6.12] Bug Reports

I think the only way to fix that whole OSSC problem is to simply revert booting back to the way it was before, sacrificing those ~2 seconds of boot time. In other words, the Sony BIOS boot shouldn't be altered in any way, even just looking at it from a purist's point of view.

my other question is if the psio works ok using an sd card extender?
The disc swapping won't work with an extender.
Why not?
