Re: How is everyone here saving their games?

I have a few genuine memory cards but I also use an old dex drive I bought way back then. Still usable thanks to a serial to usb adapter thingy.

Re: Mega CD

I like the MegaSD but it's too costly for me. Even if I could afford it I can't justify the expense!
Here's hoping CybDyn Systems may one day provide a rock solid, cheaper alternative.

Re: Feature Requests

For what it's worth I use an old Dexdrive I bought way back then for my memory card saves and backup needs. I connect the Dexdrive to my Windows 10 with a USB to Serial adapter. I use a free software utility called Dexter but there are a few alternatives out there that work just as well. I know peop...

Re: Compatibility with 1001 unit?

In my case I have the SCPH-1001 (composite outputs on the back) and it works fine with the PSIO. You might want to get the caps replaced as a maintenance measure as it can be potentially beneficial for this particular model. That said it is my understanding that all PSIO compatible models perform th...

Re: Need some help with Lunar: SSS

That method works fine on most multidisc games. But SSS has multi tracks for each disc. That's the big difference with that game. I'll try the method the other poster mentioned, and I'll come back and say how it went. EDIT: Apsley Garrard's method worked. K1v2 did the trick. I don't know if this is...

Re: Need some help with Lunar: SSS

Hello. I think you shouldn't need to virtual mount if you got the disc. Just rip it straight from imgBurn. As for the multidisc.lst file you have to: + place all your multi disc cd images in one folder. + take a moment to name them properly (for example similar to this): metal chorus flower (Disc 1)...

Re: Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown music not looping issue

I bought the game guys. Ripped it to BIN/CUE format using ImgBurn. Replaced the Redump version with mine. Still get the same issue. When playing with the CD the music loops during gameplay but not with PSIO. If you find the time please take a look at this. https://i.ibb.co/mv5sZS5/IMG-20181229-19374...

Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown music not looping issue

Hello. I searched to see if there was anything on this particular issue but didn't find anything. I noticed the music in Total Meltdown (redump image - SLUS_003.55) only plays once per level. If you die, restart or toggle music ON/OFF at the sounds menu then sure enough the song starts playing again...

Remember position on the list

For your consideration: When returning from a game could you make the menu start with the cursor pointing at the last selected entry? I don't have a reasoning for it other than make the interface's behavior a little more polished and to give a sense of continuity. As in the menu browsing experience ...

Search History or Recently Played Games

For your consideration: Please consider adding a short history of recent searches so to make the search feature even more convenient and useful. Alternatively how about a quick access menu of recently played games. Personally I like both ideas but anything you can give the users to quickly get to th...

Random Game Screensaver

Something that I like a lot but don't see often is the ability for a multi-game system to run and rotate (every 3-5 minutes or so) a different game taken randomly from the unit's memory card. I've seen it done recently in Nintendo's classic mini systems where after being idle for a few minutes the s...

Re: First game you will play?

That's pretty cool man. If you haven't already I suggest you check out romhacking.net and learn how to use their community-made translations. It will open your world to even more RPG goodness. With the PSIO you'll have a convenient way to play these!

Re: Can a CUE file co-exist along with its CU2 version?

I was wondering if PSIO's software had an order preference. For example if both files exists in the folder then look for CU2 first, CUE second, etc. Thanks for the replies.

Re: First game you will play?

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked it out on youtube and it looks interesting. You should definitely give Bust a Groove a try. The soundtrack is excellent (be sure to play it loud!). Even if you don't have a TV for it check out the Namco exclusive Time Crisis: Project Titan. It has a game pad mode...
