Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread
Yes, I was originally using Fastboot with the FBOOT.bin file on the card. Once the updates were done, I went into the new menu system and turned the fastboot settings from OFF to ON. I then shut down the Playstation, popped the SD card into my computer, removed the FBOOT file and returned it to the Playstation and thus the problem I listed above appeared.

Yes, thank you!

I meant to make such a control on Up and Down buttons.

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread
Hi,
I was checking everyday for 256GB sd card support and here it is:) It's working great. Thank you.
I can confirmy that my Kingston SDA10/256GB and SD10VG2/128GB cards are working:

---
And this one works but i need to power on the console first and then insert card, otherwise it's not detected:

Not sure if it's healthy for PS-IO so I won't use it.
Thanks again

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread
Thanks for letting us know! We're working on the fboot problem. Here are some images of the code being written in C that will take the font data from the PlayStation ROM and load it into the framebuffer. Next, we need to write a string parser, and then a text stacker so the lines that are generated are pushed down the screen on the TV. Following that, the C code will be compiled into assembler logic, which will be optimised further and injected into the primary fastboot logic. All-in-all, this simply allows debugging output to work for customers who have the fboot issue so we can diagnose where and why it's locking up.

Yeah just disable it if it's unstable for you. I'll message you and all who are affected when we have something new to try

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

Any work on 512gb SD cards working? It would be really awesome if there was a way to hook up a usb hard drive with a couple terabytes to it as well but ill settle for a couple of 256 cards

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread
512 GB is SDXC. They should work fine as of ARM V2.5.0. No, PSIO doesn't work in 'USB Host' mode, so HDD's don't work.Jboner1058 wrote: ↑February 16th, 2018, 6:19 amAny work on 512gb SD cards working? You need to plug PSIO into your Windows computer via USB and run the 'Systems Console'. Boot the Menu System with it, and then change the option back to off for "Fastboot". Make sure to save the settings too (

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread
While I don't have the fastboot problem as people have outlined above, I do have one problem...
I've only tried one title as that's the game I'm playing at the moment (Colony Wars), but disc switching isn't working while fastboot is enabled. It works fine when it is disabled.

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread
Huh. That's a very strange bug. We'll have to look into that one too.
In the meantime, we have a new 'Systems Console'.

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread
Thanks everybody for the remarks about 256 GB SD cards! My SanDisk card arrived and works fine so far
More testing soon to come.
In the meantime, some small remarks concerning the (updated) "Systems Console":
File -> LibCrypt Patch (PPF)
In the mouse over text for this one, the last word misses a letter: "proection" -> "protection"
File -> Set Work Directory
While this option comes very handy, it only seems to work for "Batch Image Conversion", unfortunately.
(I assumed it also worked for CU2 and PPF.)
Also, it seems this setting is not included in "Save Settings" atm, cause even when I save the settings, this one is lost with closing the application.

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread
Ah, my mistake. You have to actually hold [START] + [SELECT] whilst the Menu System is booting to reset all the settings. Once it says they've been reset and it asks you for the video mode selection, just power off your PSX, remove the USB cable and try to boot from the SD Card again. You'll of course have to finish the first time boot stuff, but afterwards, Fastboot will be disabled.
