Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread
Hello Matt,
I have a quick question. I searched on my country's forums and retro gaming facebook groups for experienced modders who could install the switch board on my playstations. As it turns out, the best ones of the bunch will charge me too much per install, so I figured it would be cheaper to just send my PS1s to you in australia for a professional install (even if it takes longer due to delivery times).
My question is, do you have any issues if I purchase your install services and send you my boards from South America? I purchased anti-static bags and polystyrene to pack them up well and make sure they arrive safe.
If you say yes, I will purchase 3 installs as I have 3 PS1s where I want to have the boards installed. I have 2 switchboards with me already, let me know if I should send them to you as well.

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread
Hi. Sure, you can send them into us from South America. Just pack the boards in the anti-static bags and send them with good packaging. Just don't go overboard with the box. It doesn't need to be massive. The PSX boards are robust, but just get a box that will simply not bend or bow. Feel free to include the Switch Boards if you're not going to use them since it recycles them and saves them from land fill.

You're not a buyer, you're a reseller.

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread
The final and complete lot of plastic cases have arrived, and the samples of the parallel ports have arrived! The parallel ports need a little adjustment done to the pins to make the connection a little 'tighter', and so we have begun the process or fixing this issue. The timeframe has been extended by approximately 2 weeks now, but it has to be done to ensure that PSIO has a solid connection to the PlayStation console.
A video showing the slight parallel port issue we are talking about can be seen in the video below.

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread
We have more Parallel Port samples on the way which have the adjusted pitch to assist with a tighter fit to the PlayStation console. Once I have approved the samples, the rest will be produced. Following that, the circuit boards will be made. From there, assembly is all down-hill

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread
It's in a working state, but there are some bugs which we plan to fix once we receive our logic analyser. Apart from that, we've been focusing on mass production, especially in getting the June orders shipped since that's out utmost priority at the moment. It just takes time and delays us when we have to keep on waiting for parts to arrive from overseas. That's where the slowdown is.
Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread
yeah I know about delays etc I face them all the time with my projects , thanks for the update
keep up the good work!
keep up the good work!

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread
@matt do you guys have a FB group for PSIO discussions/updates/help or is it just here for that? Could be a good idea to set one up, if not, once mass production is in full swing, since the user base will increase ten fold.

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread
We do have a Facebook page, but not a group I don't think. Everything is hosted here however, and we prefer users using the forums since it's much easier for us and a lot quicker than Facebook.
