Option to always start Gameshark/Action Replay

Post by kruuth » October 30th, 2016, 12:47 pm

I was wondering...how hard would it be to have an automatic load of a GS/AR/Caetla load prior to starting a game so that cheats could be handled?

Set up a multidisc list in the folder of the game you wish to use gameshark with a gameshark image and it is as simple as that. The gameshark disc has to be the first disc on the multidisc list.

If there's ever a PSIO hardware upgrade, like a different chip-set altogether (FPGA etc.) it'd be cool to have a cheat function built in much like the EverDrive variants. However, if never possible it's no big deal to me. Damn I love this thing!!!

Hopefully, multidisc list files will be able to made on the fly in future firmware/menu. Hit a key to add an image to the queue, this builds the multidisc array/file on the fly. This is how USB-GDROM handles it multidisc.

Would something like the PSX Hacker Kit work on the PSIO?
