Try using Microsoft Edge. I mainly use Chrome and Firefox, but if I'm having a download fail, Edge is able to pick up where the download failed and continue.

I think there is a bug in our code for the website. Something with the PHP download script. I'll have to take a look into it after Christmas.

I have to still look into it, but it seems to be related to users overseas. For now, can you please tell me what computer operating system you're using?

Is there a chance of uploading to fileshare, Dropbox etc??

I have been waiting months and months, now to be held up by a download!!

Can you guys please assist? I'd really like to have a play with this before going back to work in the new year!!

Just to have a look, I tried to re-download mine. I'm only being redirected to the store's PSIO page. I don't get any download link. Tried my trusty Firefox and my edgy Edge.

The downloads are linked to your PSIO Serial, Order ID and Email and the archive password for your firmware files to unzip will be your serial number too, so sharing is not allowed, as I won't be sharing my serial number nor either other users would be too imo, sorry.

I suggest you keep trying or use a phone to download and transfer it to a PC, as it still downloads fine for me and the file sizes are: "64.6mb MENU", 52.7kb ARM, 22.1kb FPGA, which all unzip fine.

I'm also using Win 7 64 and Chrome Browser.

I’ll keep trying, tho I have tried 2 pc’s and my phone. Matt already stated it was the server end.....I was mainly asking the admin if they could share via another source.

Download wget from here.

When you validate your PSIO Cartridge on the 'Downloads' page, right click and copy the link you want into Notepad.

Then, fire up wget in a command prompt and use this string:

Code: Select all

wget -c -O file.zip "PASTE_HERE"
Make sure you paste your string that you copied into Notepad over my example where it says PASTE_HERE or it will not download your file. Be sure to paste it between the quotes and leave them there. The quotes are required.

As an example, it will look something like this:

Code: Select all

wget -c -O file.zip "https://ps-io.com/firmwares/download.php?s=HTI0NjE6OTM4OA==&r=81d8ce6336cbca75feb944e108df586b1&v=MDU6NzE2MDAfNTQ"
Your file will then download, and if it times out, simply reuse the same command and it will continue the download for you. You can do this by pressing the up arrow in the command prompt window to see the history of executed commands.

This method will work for now, but I still need to figure out why the server is doing this because it's not obviously good.

Could it be that you are on shared hosting with a tighter-than-normal timeout for PHP scripts and/or the server is killing download.php because it takes too long or ate too much CPU time when creating the custom Zip file? I've noted that the website is pretty sluggish in general.

It could be, so I will need to check the PHP INI file to make sure. The server is generally just slow because it's located in Australia so people overseas generally get the longest delays when browsing.

Connection reset... hmm. I honestly have no idea what could be causing that. I ain't using Linux with Apache, I'm using Windows Server with IIS but I don't think it's an IIS issue.

If you're competent with Linux, maybe you can dump the HTTP headers and show me them?

EG: This is what I am getting with CURL:

Code: Select all

HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Cache-Control: must-revalidate, post-check=0, pre-check=0,private
Pragma: public
Content-Length: 67818467
Content-Type: application/zip
Expires: 0
Server: Microsoft-IIS/8.0
X-Powered-By: PHP/5.5.19
Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="MENU265_XXXXXXXXXXXX.ZIP";
Content-Transfer-Encoding: binary
X-Powered-By: ASP.NET

Can someone run a CURL script and check if they are getting the same headers?

I'd love to, but I keep being redirected to the shop page when I click "verify". Both on Firefox and Edge. It does add the GET variables for my order to the URL, though. But no downloads for me. :-(
