Helping to add USB loading support via Linux

Post by gamer23 » January 7th, 2018, 2:04 am

I'm a Linux developer and I currently use a Linux (Ubuntu) desktop for storage of my PS1 ISOs (along with other systems). I'm really interested in getting the USB loading feature working on Linux so I don't have to worry about SD cards. I'm sure you all are busy so if your interested I will be more than happy to help implement this feature.

The problem is we use dynamic link libraries to handle the USB protocol layer, so getting it to work under Linux would be an extreme amount of work since it'd all have to be re-coded in pure C++ logic. Plus, drivers don't even exist from ARM for Linux as far as I know, so even at that low of a level it won't work.
