Re: Cool boarders 3 freezes

Working fine for me. Your image might be a bad dump. My binary CRC32 is DB950371. Check that yours matches. How long did you play? you have to advance a little in the first track to get the freeze. I was using a CU2 just in case as I didn't bother to check whether or not it uses XA. Maybe that cras...

Cool boarders 3 freezes

Hi, I tested cool boarders 3 us and found that it was freezing on the same spot always. You start a single race, choose the first option for everything, and when you are reaching a second or third ramp, the game freezes. I redownloaded the redump version, same behavior. I'm using an NTSC 7501 consol...

Re: Multi-Disc load issue

Okay... So I have done some more testing here... I have now also tried to format my 256GB SanDisk Class 10 SD-Card with a 2048kb cluster, but with no luck. After that experiment failed I also tried to format it with a 4096kb cluster, but alas, no change. Since whatever I tired with that specific SD...

Yes, I've seen it. I ordered one yesterday :dance
Just a little sad to wait 5 months, but it's OK ;)
Nothing compared to us, june 2017 batch. Anyhoo, it's worth the wait, I guarantee you.

I can try it, if you want.
Thanks again Krisk77, the reason I ask is because I think I may have mistaken Mad Stalker with Wolf Fang. Regardless I will try them both on the weekend again using redumps.

I played through it to Mission 3-B and noticed no issues with the audio. I used a JP redump Multi track rip in Bin & cue, converted to a CU2 via the System Console Program.
Thanks krisk, I'll test again soon with a redump version. Have you tested mad stalker as well?

Wolf Fang

Has anyone else experienced background music issues with Wolf Fang? Once you reach the first boss, the audio corrupts itself like in Soul Blade.

I will try re-downloading a redump iso, but it seems like a game no one tested before and so it could be an overlooked bug.

Re: [SOLVED] SD card not recognized

Awesome! I guess it was a corrupted MBR then. Nice work :) So I was able to load games in it and boot to PSIO, played for a while then turned off the playstation, and came back to play again in the afternoon, it would not boot up again. So, faulty card after all, it seems the MBR record will get ea...

Re: First game you will play?

Wow that's great to hear! It's one of my favorite PS1 games. Lucky you that you have a lightgun and a CRT! I hope to get one as well as the PS1 has a great library of lightgun games. The whole Raystorm/Raycrisis/Rayforce is worth playing many times over too. I would play Tenchu 2 though, played too...

Re: First game you will play?

Bust a Groove runs beautifully on PSIO. That's originally why I wanted to make PSIO, simply because Bust a Groove wasn't playable anymore. One skip by the laser, and the whole song is out of sync which means you can't play it. With PSIO, you don't have that problem. You can literally shake the cons...

Re: SD card not recognized

Funny story,

I was able to read games off of my faulty SD card by connecting it to my laptop, and then using the PSIO usb loading feature. lol.

Re: Multi-Disc & The MULTIDISC.LST File

This is something I think needs to be addressed in a firmware update. Users should have some sort of option where you don't have to get up and remove the SD card to let the system know to check for a new disc image. The PSIO isn't exactly rock-solid in my expansion port, so I have to very carefully...

Re: Multi-Disc & The MULTIDISC.LST File

It points to the BIN file and the logic then 'searches' for the CU2 sheet automatically. If it finds one, it'll use it. Otherwise it'll just boot without any CDDA track data (which is the case for single BIN images). I will add that information the 'Systems Manual' however, so thanks! I n...

Re: SD card not recognized

Yeah, it sounds like Windows is using it in SPI mode and that protocol is still working for you with that card, but direct 4-bit mode may not be. If you want to send us the SD Card, we can always take a look at it for you so we can be certain though. Probably too overkill for a U$50 sd card. It cos...

Re: SD card not recognized

Ok more troubleshooting. I was not able to format the sd using sd formatter. It kept giving me an "format failed" error message, so it's likely that the card is faulty after all. I was able to fully format it again using Windows, and I can copy files to it, so I will use it on something else. Oh wel...

Re: SD card not recognized

It could be that your SD Card doesn't want to operate in 4-bit mode and is faulty. When you plug it into your PC, it might be using 1-bit or SPI mode instead which is working still. Pretty silly though because that means the bandwidth is severely limited. That's an advanced conclusion to jump to qu...

Re: SD card not recognized

That's very strange. I have a [SanDisk Ultra 128 GB Class 10 U1 SDXC 80MB/s] and it works perfectly, and like others said the Kingston version worked fine. Have you tried formatting it and only putting the 'MENU.SYS' file on it? Thanks matt, I will try that. @nrgdead already done that, sadly no cha...
