Re: Official DCIO News and Development Thread

Both these devices were designed with the 3.3V power in mind. They will not kill your console. Thanks for shedding some light on this matter, I don't have enough knowledge and I've always been a bit worried about using these devices in my consoles. "Better safe than sorry" is what I usually tell my...

Re: Official DCIO News and Development Thread

There's no safety issue with GDEMU OR the USB GD-ROM. If you remove the 12V rail that fixes the "overheating" issue as it is anyways. I own both. That 12V rail was for the GDROM specifically and since it's removed it's a null issue. Both these devices were designed with the 3.3V power in mind. They ...

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

To anyone interested the PlayStation Classic is using the emulator: PCSX ReARMed. I'm not sure if they went in and re-tooled it or not but that seems to be what they are using. I'm going to try and rewire one of the USB cables it come with to a dual-shock and see what happens. I'm not sure why it's ...

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

I'm also going to be ordering that HDMI adapter from Limited Run games. An internally mounted PSIO, and HDMI out would be the perfect setup. Will put that PlayStation Classic to shame- WITH dual-shock support of course!

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

Hey Matt, If I send you a 5501 OR a 7501 mainboard- would you be able to remove the serial port connector and send it back to me with the serial port connector unnattached? If you don't have the tools to do so I understand- it's for a future project of internally mounting a PSIO. I plan to modify th...

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

Yeah- I cannot believe we're pushing 5 years now (from when I signed up initially) from the R&D process to now. It's unreal how time flies.

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

Excellent! You guys can't be too far from having the firmware from being 200% done as far as features and compatibility are concerned. I'm impressed with how quick the turnaround is increasing between production runs and firmware. Keep it up guys!!!

Install a mod-chip. Get the Mayumi V4. PSIO will not act as a mod-chip.

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

How hard has it been to get this project off the ground, just as an in general question? Between getting PCB's finalized, labels made, male connector ports etc, it just seems like a metric shit-ton of patience has been required just from your end alone with the production process. And that's not eve...

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

... my PSIO bit the dust when my house was struck by lightening last fall- 5 months ago Send it in. I'll take a look at it for you when I can. Since then, I bought a new PlayStation and tried using the PSIO with that unit- swapped out a working switchboard and I'd just get a static-y black screen, ...

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

That's a great thing to bring up while you wait. I was an early adopter and though compatibility was high- it was nothing near what it is even today. So I'm eager to get one of these again and give it a whirl. I have my SD card all loaded and ready to go with all the art, MULTIDISC.LST file's etc ju...

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

Once your order is tagged and processed, you'll receive an e-mail that will detail you on a waiting period. That should answer your question. Be patient- you're going to be waiting a bit. But I stress it is worth it. My PSIO bit the dust when my house was struck by lightening last fall- 5 months ago...

I love the default song currently. Reminds me of something from the Matrix, like a montage song or something. I'm happy with it :)

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

You guys have really outdone yourselves!!! I am more than impressed. As soon as time frees up on my end I'll start testing again. I've been waiting on the sidelines also in part to wait until further firmware updates started coming out which in turn has been happening. I'll be back in the saddle aga...

I agree with the memory card manager making things easier to test and forward saves etc. These "New 'n' Tasty" ;) features are getting better and better!!!
