Re: Feature Question

Yes, it will work fine since PSIO skips the BIOS license checking logic :)

Only copied CD-R's will not work (we can make them work, but obviously for legal reasons we don't make PSIO act like a modchip).

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

You have to be quick to get in on it. Try again now.
If it still doesn't work, we are sold out.

Re: Remove CD Drive

Hi,

No, removing the CD-ROM drive will not have an effect on PSIO, nor will the door (hood) switch.

Thanks.

Re: Broken Connector on Mainboard

No it's not required, but if you include it in the box you're sending to us, we'll re-solder it for you. It's happened to other customers too. Easy repair :)

Sorry, I posed that in the wrong topic. It doesn't apply to you! Please ignore it. Everything with your order is fine :)

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

It's still on the to-do list, along with full ATV register support (so games like "Bust a Groove" have the fade-out effect when you pause the game, and volume sliders in other games work properly with XA/CDDA tracks).

Re: Feature Question

Original copy or burned CD-R? Also, what version of 'Vib Ribbon' and on what console??

EG: Is it an original disc of the [PAL] 'Vib Ribbon' running on an [NTSC] console.

Re: Feature Question

1) No, booting an original CD-ROM works fine since PSIO is disabled when it's set to normal CD mode.
2) Yes it will, but later security checks depends on the game you're loading.

Re: Final Fantasy 7 speed and compatibility

Thanks for doing that. Another speed up is from error correction (more so in the sense of data read errors and retries), so if you have a bad laser assembly or damaged Final Fantasy 7 CD-ROM, PSIO gains in these fields too.

Re: Purchase still on hold

Yes, and I replied on the 2nd of May to your email saying We didn't receive your payment yet, but I'll give it a few more days to see if it comes though. If it does not, I will double-check to make sure we didn't overlook it, but generally this is impossible since everything shows up in our accounti...

Re: CDDA tracks in .APE format

You need to use a converter that converts the APE format into BIN files. Then, check and update your CUE sheet as needed. Finally, run it through the Systems Console conversion tool. If that doesn't work, you'll need to mount the image as a virtual drive and then manually rip it with the tracks inta...

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

It should be fine this time around. Everything else was working fine on it without any issues whatsoever :) At the moment, I'm working on getting all the mainboards I have here installed with the Switch Board and sent off since they are extremely behind on schedule. Some upwards of 6+ months ...

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

The photo was the initial sample run. There was a small problem with it which was that the SD Card connectors pins were not being soldered correctly, so to avoid that problem, I've increased the size of the solder pads and have ordered a second lot of samples. Once those arrive and they all work, th...
