Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

Hi new here! Just wondering if the orders are closed at the moment? I would like to order a PSIO but I keep getting a error message? Thanks. Hi. Yes, the orders are closed at the moment. If you sign up with your email (which can be done on the PSIO Cartridge 'Store' page itself near the bottom), we...

Thank you, Matt! I did not realize that the system loader is only invoked when no card is inserted. I confirmed that the feature is working and the BIOS is accessible.
No problem! I'm glad to hear it's working nicely now for you :D

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

DEMO 1 now works properly with CDDA/XA audio. I also suspect that other DEMO samplers that had issues, such as the PlayStation Underground discs should now work, but I'll need to do more testing to confirm that. PSIO's compatibility is now at an all time high 8-) I'll get an update released again so...

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

Here's a small treat for everyone. This is how we used to make the plastic shells/cases for PSIO prior to injection moulding. The process was extremely time consuming and very labour intensive. Obviously this method is no longer used, but I thought some might enjoy seeing how the CNC machine operat...

Re: docs for PS BIOS key feature

You should see a screen that looks like this when no SD Card is in your PSIO Cartridge. I repeat, there should be no SD Card in your PSIO Cartridge, otherwise the System Loader will not boot.

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

There's no such thing as a "Chinese PSX". It's a BIOS replacement modification which alters the BIOS font.

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

PSIO Cartridges heat-shrunk and ready to go into their white shipping boxes (as seen already being stacked on the floor). These will be shipped this week for the first lot of pre-orders from 2017 (see the timeline on the 'News' page for more info) ;) http://www.cybdyn-systems.com.au/forum/download/f...

Re: Which model PS is easiest/best for the install?

Cargo- can you expand on why other models require homework? The 7500 series is a more simplistic design. It has a smaller form factor and it's easier to dissemble than a 1000 series, but that doesn't annoy me as it may with others. I recommend you download all the install guides from our PSIO websi...

Sorry, not yet. I've been focusing on other parts of development but I will get around to it shortly. When we do add it though, we will also be adding a debugger :)

Re: Which model PS is easiest/best for the install?

Hmm. Not really, but the SCPH-1000 (PU-7 or PU-8) is the easiest I reckon because instead of doing a final trace cut, you can lift a resistor.

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

Thanks, I've placed your order one hold 'zePeido'. Nice Switch Board install 'cargo'! It is a bad feeling when you cut the board, but the Switch Board ties those signals back together so they can then just be toggled when needed :) We have pre-orders open again for PSIO Cartridges! Get in while you ...

Sure, what was your order number so I can place it on hold for you?

Re: Memory Card access with PS-IO - PROBLEMS!!!

The purpose of the 'System Loader' was so that whenever new users of PSIO would plug in their cartridge and it would fail to boot, this menu would popup instantly so they didn't think their brand new cartridge was broken. Don't worry, I'm working on it... I'll try to have it released as soon as poss...
