Re: Kingsley Adventure black screen

I have tried this briefly using K1V2 setting and I seem to get into the gameplay fine using the NTSC-U verison. Not played much though but it may be worth a go.

Re: F1 2000 (NTSC) - Runs ~ 3 X Slower During Grand Prix

I don't have the original disc anymore and don't really fancy wasting a CD-R on it. I have looked at numerous youtube videos and it does appear to have slow down issues when there are a large amount of cars in front to render. I don't remember it being this severe when I originally played it all tho...

Re: Spyro Year of the Dragon hangs

I am using an unpatched NTSC version, ReDump verified and changing the audio setting to K1V2 solved that problem for me.

F1 2000 (NTSC) - Runs ~ 3 X Slower During Grand Prix

The game runs at full speed during time trial when you are the only car on track. Using the quick race option the game runs very slowly when there are multiple AI cars on the track.

Can anyone else confirm this?

Re: PSIO Wallpaper Thread

Just tried both on PAL mode and they seem to line up correctly on the TV I am using. Thanks for sharing these great wallpapers. It makes is look like an official product. Strange, on my system in PAL mode the part with the ticker message is outside/below the transparent box Sorry my mista...

Re: PSIO Wallpaper Thread

Actually, I should have mentioned that its only the grey one that doesn't lineup, you should be ok with the splatter version in PAL Just tried both on PAL mode and they seem to line up correctly on the TV I am using. Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

Just done some further testing and Spyro 3 NTSC V1.1 (ReDump Verified) (Unpatched) works using audio mode K1V2. Tried 3 times and it went past the Bianca animation fine. :dance I haven't played much more than about 10 mins or so as my time is limited at the moment, just though I would let you know. ...

Re: PSIO Wallpaper Thread

I decided to nock together a couple of wallpapers based on the original grey and blue paint splatter PlayStation BIOS, these versions are made for NTSC mode, I can make PAL versions if anyone is interested (they don't lineup properly in PAL) . https://i.ibb.co/Q6xfpK4/wallpapers.jpg Very nice wallp...

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

Just updated my software. Soul Blade is now working  There are a few problems I have noticed. F1 97 (Both European Versions) no longer boot. I just get a black screen, can anyone else verify this? I can also confirm I am getting the same problem with Spyro 3 (USA) I am sure it was working f...

Re: Official DCIO News and Development Thread

I did the 12V Fix mod on my PAL Dreamcast and the RGB Scart output stopped working, this is with the official cables. Only the Hanzo VGA box worked. I prefer using RGB Scart on a CRT so I can use a light gun etc During my testing I did not notice any obvious difference in how warm the console felt. ...

Mine took almost a month to arrive. It was actually delivered by Royal Mail and was being held at the sorting office due to custom fees. So try your tracking on the royal mail website instead.

Re: Possible bricked PSIO?

It took about 2 minutes or so. I was using a 128GB SanDisk Ultra Plus, it had about 4 games and the update files. I didn't do anything other than turn on the system and then turn it off when the message about having the update file still on the SD card came up on the screen. I always check the LED i...

Re: Possible bricked PSIO?

You need to delete the firmware files after you have updated, just leave the menu.sys file in the root of the sd card. Those files have been deleted. All that remains on the SD card is menu.sys. The thing is, I haven't see the PSIO menu ever since firmware upgrade. Before I would see the black and ...

SBI Support for Libcrypt Games?

Loving the PSIO so far, only issues I have are with libcrypt games. I know you can patch the bin files but these usually add intro screens to the games and cheats. If would be great if it can support SBI subchannel data to allow these games to run without the unofficial patches. I know some games li...

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

I have also had a quick go on castlevania symphony of the night and gran turismo and did not hear any obvious audio issues, but then I have never played castlevania before so I am not sure what it is supposed to sound like. I am just running it through RGB Scart, maybe when HD upscalers get involved...

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

All firmwares must now be downloaded from your account page. With that said, we will have a new update released hopefully by this week as well as an updated 'Systems Manual'. Please dear Lord let it be properly interpolated XA audio. I've been promoting the PSIO as best I can, but a lot of people a...

Re: Shipping Issues

I got my PSIO today in the UK. Just been faffing about for the past 3 hours. I had already installed a switchboard so it was ready to go once it arrived. However it wouldn't boot just kept hanging on the bios boot screen. After re soldering everything including the parallel port pins I was still hav...

Matt is there any possibility to send both the PSIO's I have ordered in one package? They were both from the November pre-orders. I did send an email but I have yet to get a response. Thanks. At the moment, no. I need to get some custom boxes made which can house 2 units then update the script I us...

Re: PSIO UK delivery warning.

I am happy to pay the 20% VAT. For me it's the Royal Mail handling fee which is annoying because they charge £8 per parcel to put through customs, which usually exceeds the VAT to pay. Parcel force are even worse. They charge about £11 per parcel and we have no control here who decides to take respo...
