Re: PU-8 Japanese Board not booting.

Found the short as it was the Pin 65 PE line on the Parallel port.

Also, trimmed a few wires, cleaned and reflowed some of the other points and insulated the areas with some tape.

Console now boots and plays discs again.

Re: PU-8 Japanese Board not booting.

Lol, okay, cut me a break dude. Only been soldering about a year on and off and this is probably a more intermediate instaĺl from what I have been learning so far.

PU-8 Japanese Board not booting.

I installed the switch board this morning and to test the install, all I get is a black screen on power up with the disc spinning when trying to boot an original. (No video) I checked over the points and they look okay to me under a magnifier, as I also reflowed the Parallel port points again. Only ...

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

I plan to do my switch board install on a Japanese PU-8 board this Saturday in preparation for my June 17 order.

Re: PU-20 / Tried to install myself, system only shows sony scrn

Sorry to bump this, yet I couldn't help but laugh. I'm still quite a noob at soldering but that does look like a joke (was it a real install?) Some welded points going on there, as pointed out already lol. I would have liked to have seen a positive outcome of this, yet the OP has done a golden runne...

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

Hey Matt,

Old switch boards from about a year ago would still be compatible with the new batches of PSIO boards?

I have a couple of switch boards to use and just wanted to clarify that newer switch boards won't be needed instead because of the PSIO new revision.

Re: Official PSIO News and Development Thread

@matt do you guys have a FB group for PSIO discussions/updates/help or is it just here for that? Could be a good idea to set one up, if not, once mass production is in full swing, since the user base will increase ten fold.

Re: Preorder Mailing List?

@Matt I don't normally ask these questions, as I do read instructions and understand time scales, etc. However, since I noticed a new batch of pre-order is open to selected users recently this week, I have a quick question though about the last Pre-orders, as I submitted and paid for a pre-order on ...

Re: 10/25 Immediately out of stock?

Gutted again, as I thought this time there would be plenty to fulfill the demand at least, yet got left to the curb again. I don't know why you guys don't mass produce, as the supplies won't dry out. What pisses me off the most, is the fucking scalpers (one guy claiming he bagged 3 and then brags ab...

Re: User Reviews for PSIO and Content

Yeah, the whole Mulit-bin issue and CU2 sheet is a deal breaker for me. Until Multi-bin support is added (since the best psx dumps use this) then I'll consider it. @Shadow. I appreciate that is is currently in development though, yet how possible is CDDA supported without using these CU2 sheets. Ide...

Re: Feature Requests

Can one of the dev comment on multi-bin support? Redump is one of the most accurate psx image set available and they use multi-bin. Converting cue take a certain time and it is a pain to try out new game. Re downloading over 500gb of data to get a set that use single bin is also a huge pain. Is mul...
