Re: PSIO doesn't work - was switch board correctly installed?

I have now removed and reconnected the PSIO unit 40-50 times, no change. I guess I am going to have to find another PS1 and purchase another installation =/ Try cleaning the port with IPA and maybe reflow the points on the parallel port (if you can or get the installer to do it) on it and if you ha...

Thanks yes it needed a cue2 file it’s now working
What about
Doom
Final doom
Quake 2
I still can’t getb these to work
Also, check on Redump. Anything with multi tracks is a CDDA and needs a CU2

Re: Is wipeout XL not working with psio?

XL works fine and does not necessarily need to be redump compatible all the time, as long, as the source is good.

For combining multi-tracks, use the System Console Program or with a Virtual Drive app like Daemon tools & Imgburn (mount and re-rip the image) and make you have a valid CU2 sheet.

Re: trouble with multi-BIN images

You sure your not confusing this with "Multi-Disc"? because you dont need a program to create multi-bin images, as that is not how it works with PSIO, as when dealing with multi-bin images (CDDA redump rips), the whole purpose is to combine all of them into a single bin file that outputs a CU2 file ...

Re: 512 file limit

Tbh, I'd be patient on this, as it's not something that will happen overnight or in a few weeks. Compatibility is a number 1 priority imo, as there are still games broken or have issues with CDDA to fix in next firmware update(s) than just having the 512 file restriction removed. For now, i'd just s...

Re: Issue with Toshinden Subaru (Japan)

thnx, if there is any place you could provide to get the game image)? or can you provide more info, like what's the game ps-exe name , like SLSP-xxxxx Can confirm this too using the redump copy, as it freezes on a black screen after team selection. It's the Japanese version of Toshinden 4 and it on...

Re: [Question]Is it possible to use PSIO to boot import titles?

Your 7000 JP console will boot all region images with PSIO. Only original JP discs will boot, even with the latest stealth mod chip code like MM3 and Mayumi 4. NTSC/U/PAL discs need to dumped and patched to SCEI. This is a restriction of the BIOS Sony uses in Japanese consoles only and is nothing to...

Re: [Question]Is it possible to use PSIO to boot import titl

I can confirm playing NTSC-U Redump images on my Japanese PS1 using PSIO with no problems. No boot disc is needed. I don't have a mod chip installed in my console but the FAQ says they shouldn't affect PSIO functionality anyway. I was more of referring to playing the actual discs rather though. I h...

Re: [Xenogears NTSC-U] Analog button freezes game

Not sure if this is due to PSIO or Xenogears itself, I don't have an NTSC PS1 to test with. Just thought I'd report it. I was playing Xenogears and pressed the "analog" button on a green Dualshock controller to see if the game supports the analog sticks. The game then paused and got stuck on the pa...

I've tested 300+ games and this is my list of findings: - Lunar: Silver Star Story - (doesn't work with K1v3 / black screen) - Wargames - Defcon 1 - (doesn't work with K1v3 / black screen) - Medal of Honor 1 & 2 (graphical issues with K1v3) - Alien Resurrection (graphical issues with K1v3) - Vandal...

Libcrypt patching/Crack Intro's/Trainers - K1V1 & K1V3 incompatibility

@Matt & Yuri Are you aware that some Libcrypt patches to some games don't boot correctly with K1V1 & K1V3 EXTDSP? My guess is because it's the way the scene groups like Paradox/Kalisto coded their crack intros and trainer menu's, which is interferes with the normal boot procedure and just wanted to...

Re: Fantastic Pinball: Kyuutenkai [SLPS-00031]

Thank you krisk77. I made my own CU2 file from scratch, using the information from redump.org. It took a good bit of time but I finally got it and it works perfect! To save time, you can also just download the cue file from redump and use the system console program to convert the cue to cu2, as tha...

Re: Final Fantasy IX (NTSC-J) - Corrupted graphics in 3D world field (video & pictures linked)

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to try other EXTDSP modes. Thanks for suggesting it! I just loaded my save using K1V2 mode and indeed the graphical corruption did not happen. Is this a reliable workaround though, or can other issues arise as a result of using this mode? I'll keep playing using this ...

Re: Final Fantasy IX (NTSC-J) - Corrupted graphics in 3D world field (video & pictures linked)

1) You tried all KV modes? K1V2 has been known to fix graphical corruption/texture pop-up on some games like Alien Resurrection, Die Hard Trilogy 2 and Medal Of Honor Underground. 2) Defragmentation errors? Format the SD card, re-copy everything back? I had some issues with some games showing corrup...

Re: Fantastic Pinball: Kyuutenkai [SLPS-00031]

you need to get .CU2 file. but I guess, you still not work because of cdda issue, which will be fixed in next firmware update. FYI Understood. Thanks again for the support! Game works boots fine and plays with BGM and is a CDDA title. Your not using a correct CU2 sheet, which is why it hangs on a b...

Really? It definitely worked with Sep 2018 update, yet didn't try it with Dec 2018 update (latest). Well, that sucks and hopefully it's sorted out soon.
